Our tours include transport in a Peugeot Traveller. The vehicle is equipped with electric sliding doors, climate controlled air conditioning and a flexible seating plan to accommodate 7 passengers in comfort and spacious luxury. You can even choose your own soundtrack to accompany your tour if you wish as the vehicle is equipped with Apple Music and Spotify.
Can we be picked up from our accommodation?
Yes. By prior arrangement, we can pick you up and drop you off at your Peak District accommodation. We can also start and finish from locations further afield, for example Chesterfield, Sheffield, Manchester or even London. Locations outside the Peak District would be subject to an additional charge. Please enquire for details.
Can I select different start and finish points?
Yes. For example, we can pick you up in Manchester and drop you at the end of the tour in Sheffield for your onward journey. We can be flexible to fit in with your preferred travel arrangements.
Can I bring my own food and drink?
Yes. You are welcome to eat and drink in the vehicle. There is even an adjustable table in the back so you can enjoy a lunch stop at a scenic location.
Is there a minimum number of passengers?
No. Our tours are all available for 1 to 6 passengers.
Are the tours suitable for all levels of fitness & Mobility?
Yes. There is room for a folding wheelchair to be carried in the vehicle. Our tours can include as much or as little walking as you prefer. We can access some great viewpoints without venturing too far from the comfort of the vehicle.
Are the tours family friendly?
Yes. Children are very welcome to join us on our tours. Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult. We are a family business and we know all the best places for children to enjoy the Peak District National Park.
What do I need to bring?
The weather can be unpredictable in the Peak District, so we recommend bringing a waterproof coat and sensible outdoor shoes, as many of the tours might involve walking on uneven surfaces and footpaths. Our vehicle is equipped with umbrellas and rain covers, as well as blankets for those chillier days! Your comfort is our priority. But don't forget your camera!
Are the tours licensed?
Yes. Live For The Hills Tours Ltd is licensed with the local authority for private hire and our drivers are also fully licensed and are regularly subject to appropriate background, criminal record and medical checks.
I am travelling from london. Is it possible to travel on the same day as a tour?
Yes. We would recommend travelling by train from London St Pancras to Chesterfield which takes less than 2 hours. We can meet you directly from the train and it is then a 20 minuets drive to the Peak District national park. At the end of the tour, if you are heading back to London, we can drop you off directly at the train station for your onward journey.
Do you offer transfers to and from the Peak District from elsewhere in the uk?
Yes. We are fully licensed to provide private hire services and, by prior arrangement, we can transfer between the Peak District and anywhere else in the UK. So, if you are touring the country and are heading on to Edinburgh, Oxford, York, London, Cornwall or anywhere else, ask us for a quote.
