Pride & Prejudice 2005 Peak District Tour
Our second Pride & Prejudice Peak District tour is a private tour for 1 to 6 passengers, based around the locations that are thought to have inspired Jane Austen to create Pemberley and Lambton, as well as the magnificent, iconic houses and scenery which featured in the 2005 film, starring Keira Knightley and Matthew McFadyen.
Our guests can relax in spacious comfort and enjoy the spectacular scenery as we travel around the national park.
Our guests can also follow in Keira's footsteps as we walk up to the cliff tops from where she famously surveyed the magnificent Peak District landscape. For those slightly less adventurous, there are easier options to enjoy views on this tour, that can involve little or no walking.
The day also includes the opportunity to visit the bustling market town of Bakewell, home of the famous Bakewell Pudding!

Itinerary
The tour normally begins at 10am and concludes around 5:30pm. As with all of our tours, we can pick guests up from their accommodation or from a local railway station.
The highlight of the day is a visit to Chatsworth, where guests will have the option to explore the grandeur of the magnificent house and gardens. For those looking for the quintessential English experience, there is even an option to take afternoon tea in the sumptuous surroundings of the Flying Childer at Chatsworth.
As well as visiting Chatsworth House, we will also visit the magnificent, medieval manor house, Haddon Hall.
Haddon has featured in countless film and tv productions including Jane Eyre, Sense and Sensibility, Mary Queen of Scots, Princess Bride and many others, as well as being used as the Lambton Inn in Pride & Prejudice.
Our guests will also have the opportunity to walk up to the cliffs and stand on the actual rock where Keira stood, enjoying the expansive views across the Peak District.
We will also visit the town of Bakewell, with an opportunity to explore the historic cobbled streets of the town which is thought to have been Jane Austen's inspiration for Lambton. A visit to the famous Bakewell Pudding Shop is a must!
The tour is suitable for all ages and all levels of fitness. Our private tours are available for 1 to 4 passengers.
Prices from £275 for a full day tour. Our prices exclude food and drunk and admission charges which may be payable locally for entry to houses and gardens,

What to bring?
We would recommend waterproofs and sensible outdoor shoes. We can supply umbrellas so you don't need to worry about that. You are welcome to bring your own food and drink along with you if you prefer, although refreshment stops are available throughout the day. Oh, and don't forget your camera!
