Highlights of the Peak District

Picture
The Highlights of the Peak District tour is a great opportunity to enjoy the stunning and varied scenery of the national park within a single day.  From the spectacular landscapes of the Dark Peak to the idyllic, rolling valleys and picturesque villages of the White Peak, our guests can enjoy the scenery in spacious comfort and style on our private tours, for 1 to 4 passengers.
Highlights include Higgar Tor, with an option for an easy walk to a magnificent viewpoint overlooking an Iron Age fort, the charming village of Hathersage and the famous grave of Little John, Derwent Dam, famous for its links to the Dambusters during WWII, the historic village of Castleton, complete with views from Winnats Pass and Mam Tor, the Plague Village of Eyam, a drive through the Chatsworth estate to the idyllic village of Tissington and a drive through the magnificent Dovedale scenery. To complete the day, we will, also stop at Monsal Head to take in the celebrated view of Monsal Dale and the Headstone Viaduct.

This tour can include as much or as little walking as you prefer so is suitable for all ages and all levels of fitness.
Refreshment stops are available throughout the day. Prices from £245 for full-day tour.

The itinerary for the day can vary depending on pick up point and the weather conditions but will include visits to:
  • Higgar Tor
  • Hathersage
  • Winnats Pass
  • Mam Tor
  • Derwent Dam
  • Eyam
  • Castleton
  • Tissington
  • Dovedale
  • Monsal Dale

We can pick you up from your preferred Peak District accommodation or location (as well as locations further afield). We usually suggest a 10am start and would expect to be back at your drop off point around 5:30.

Refreshment stops are available throughout the day. We know all the best tea shops and traditional pubs if you would like to try something local.

We would recommend waterproofs and sensible outdoor shoes. We can supply umbrellas so you don’t need to worry about that. You are welcome to bring food and drink along with you if you prefer.  Oh, and don't forget your camera!
